Saffron Kheer(rice pudding) recipe| How to make Saffron (kesar) kheer at Home

KESARI  SAFFRON KHEER RECIPE

Servings: 4-5

            Ingredients:

1 Litre Milk
1/3 Cup Sugar
2 Cardamom Pods, crushed
1/3 Cup Rice
Chopped Almonds, for garnish
Saffron Strands, for garnish

preparation:

In a deep pan, add milk and bring to the boil. Transfer a ladle full of boiled milk to a small bowl, add saffron, infuse for 5 minutes and transfer it back to the pan containing milk.

Add sugar and cardamom pods. Mix well and cook on medium heat while stirring in between for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, add rice and cook for 35-40 minutes until the kheer has become thick and the rice is cooked.

Once cooked, transfer to serving bowls, garnish with chopped almonds and saffron and serve either cold or warm.
